Just to clear up confusion, the slightly light orange lines are borders, not roads, across West country, Welsh border, Scots border, and a north of England border.

These have no movement effect!

Rivers, these form the boundary of a square, same game effect as the black lines.

Note if moving on roads you cannot pass through any square with an opposing marker, this includes Roses, Royal Pieces and Player Markers.

Remember if you cannot move on a road, then movement is 5 squares per turn. Note given squares are not regular it may be possible to get from A to B via multiple routes, some quicker than others!
Games Played (Armies): WAB + WaC (IER Roman, Early Saxons and variants, Normans), WFB (Empire), 40K (Spacemarines), Uncharted Seas (Empire, Shroud Mages), WAB English Civil War (English!), Operation Squad (British) SAGA (Normans, Jomsvikings), Mordheim, Wings of War/Glory WWI, Dreadball, Chain of Command (British), Frostgrave, Sails of Glory and many others!!

Quote from: Rob Farley on May 03, 2022, 08:26:50 pmWell, Norwich seems like a more suitable starting point for European mercenaries than Chester, so I guess I'll take #2.
For information - Chester is the main city of entry when coming from Ireland, and mercenaries were brought in by that route!

The Red and White Roses with a garrison of that faction. As a result forces of the other faction may not pass through that square.
