Thanks to Colin/Grahame and others who helped organise. First time I've seen all the group interpret all the rules in all the same (safe) way. Fascinating strength was trumped by deftly technique. Double hand, single hand, underhand, cross bi-hand - we did it all! Great to see the different styles, Viking beserk, lounge darts lunge, Ork Wah! The  balance of the Dane axes did seem a bit easier (except for the slightly loose headed one).
Top score disputed - it didn't matter. Good clean fun and no red cards!

For the techies
The weight, size, shape and shaft length made the single rotational needed a magical 12 feet, the length of the guarded alley. Another 12 feet would be needed to allow for a full second rotation and embedment rather than the dreaded handle bounce off. So 36ft for a triple rotation if you had the strength ... but then you would be in the car park.
