Do you play 40K 2nd edition?
I haven't played second Ed since there was a second Ed. I'm trying to get to grips with 9th ed. I keep picking up primaris marines and have no idea what to do with them or if I should ignore them for firstborn marines. I have the second Ed books but prefer 4th or 5th ed to be honest.

I don't play 9th but I'll play you 5th if you want?
Sounds good.
1500 points ok?
15mm Napoleonic for me if I may please,
Myk.
hi Myk - yes - room in the game. French or Allies?
You will need a measuring tape in mm and some D6 dice and either a stiff upper lip or Dutch/Brunswick/French accent. we are doing an approximation to Quatre Bras.

What are club rules on painted models? I have a majority of mostly painted models but have had to do lots of arm and weapon swaps for 9th ed so not everything is finished yet.
You can play with counters cut from Kelloggs Cornflake packs as far as I'm concerned!
I've never heard of any "rules" from the club about painted figures or otherwise.

Correct. We are happy to see players playing! Nothing worse than buying a new rule set/period collecting minis and painting them, and then finding the game is rubbish and no one else wants to play! As Martin says, we are happy with card tokens, substitutes and stand in figures, unpainted plastic, metal or resin, undercoated, part painted etc...
We want you to have fun!!!
The only times we expect to see fully painted armies are public events and tournaments.
On the other hand, we love to see painted armies, we love for you to show off your painting, and we love to celebrate your skill, we also love to share what we do and learn from each other!
But most of all HAVE FUN!!!!!!
If there was a club rule regarding painted models I would have been kicked out within weeks of joining. And Dan would never have been let through the door.

Thank you Grahame, noted, and have no preference to troops, just wherever/whatever suits the game best as you see fit.
Cheers, Myk.
To those who know what scenery the club owns - is there a set of wide river sections in the scenery cabinets? I'm looking for something around 6" wide. Cheers.

The club definitely owns a set of wide river sections, and they should be in the cupboards.
Noice. Thanks.
Apologies to Jim, I will be running late today and will be at the club around 19:30.
Apologies, Grahame, but I won't be able to make this as am stuck with a work deadline.
