Title: Tomorrow - New board game looking for test players (Thu 10 Nov 2021)
Post by: SandyWardrop on November 10, 2021, 10:33:54 am
Hi all - see below a message I've received from the people at Metal (the venue where I ran my event last Saturday).

They're looking for 3 more players or so to test a new game set in Peterborough. If you're available, I especially think some of the knowledge and experience of players from PWGC would benefit them.

Email ruth@metalculture.com (ruth@metalculture.com) to book a slot (say I sent you).

Do you like games? Would you like to beta-test one set in Peterborough?

Come to play-test Ptown Bay MMXXX at Metal Chauffeurs Cottage on Thursday 11th November 4.30pm

Artist Hwa â€" Young is  looking for a few select board game fans to road test their prototype. The session will last around 2 hours - refreshments will be provided!

PTown Bay is set in 2030, the year the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars begins in the UK, and features a drastically changed landscape shaped by climate change and sea-level rise. Players navigate their way around a coastal Peterborough meeting colourful characters, completing missions, and collaborating or competing with other players.

Unlike traditional board games, PTown Bay doesn't have a set starting or end point â€" instead it's influenced by open world video games such as Minecraft, Assassin's Creed or Grand Theft Auto.

More information about the game here.   (https://slyrabbit.net/ptown-bay-mmxxx/)

Book at spot by emailing ruth@metalculture.com (ruth@metalculture.com)

Sadly can't do this Thursday (PCC @ Church). May well be interested (and may be able to get some followup from Peterborough Greens) some other time.
