In an interesting choice of wording, Salute has been "postponed" until 17th April 2021 13th Nov 2021.
I assume the theme and the branding will remain the same, and they will recycle/reuse as much of the printed materials, to save money. So expect there not to be a Salute 2021, but an upcycled 2020, followed by Salute 2022!
Seems a very sensible idea to me!
It seems that someone else is using the Excel centre instead of Salute. I hope the Nightingale reference isn't an omen.
Ok, as per the question raised by Grahame last night:
We have 3 months to build and playtest the cube.
BUT: do we have enough people comfortable with the virus and willing to man the game at the Excel?
I'd like to get a decision on this reasonably soon, as a courtesy to the Salute organisers, so if you are definitely up for it, please reply here.
Apparently we don't, so I will email SLW to let them no we're not coming,
Just heads up for anyone who might be planning on going: the venue (not the show) will be requiring proof of vaccination or a recent negative test result to allow people into the Excel. That's not just for punters, that will be for everybody running the show etc.

Note: this is not a forum to debate the rights or wrongs of the position that the Excel are taking. Please don't, or I'll lock the thread.
