Notice is hereby given that the 2022 Annual General Meeting will be held at the George Allcock Centre, Stanground on Monday January 10th at 8pm. THERE WILL BE NO GAMING ON THIS EVENING, and as is customary there will be no subs charged. We would encourage you to attend as this is your opportunity to affect how the club is run.

This date is obviously subject to any change in government or venue policies regarding COVID.

All submissions for Agenda items should be made to Mike Whitaker by 2pm on January 10th.

Nominations are now open for all positions on the committee.

If you wish to be nominated for any position (subject to meeting the required criteria as stated in the Club Rules), or you have any items you wish to add to the agenda please post below or email any of the committee.

DRAFT AGENDA

    Approval of 2020 AGM minutes
    Chairman's Report
    Treasurer's Report
    Election of Officers
    Hereward Wargames Show
        Appointment of show steering committee
Campaigns and Internal All Day Events
George Alcock Centre - Discussion and feedback (Added by CB)
    External Events
    AOB

Members, defined as per rule 3.1 of the club rules, are eligible to vote:
QuoteMembership of the club is gained by attending 8 or more meetings in a running year and maintained by attending 1 meeting in each subsequent running year or at the discretion of the committee.

Obviously, we will be applying the 'at the discretion of the committee' clause here quite a bit, as clause 3.1 assumes we've had 50+ meetings in a year. :D

In order to stand for a committee position, as per rule 5.3, a member must:
Quote...have attended at least one half of the meetings held since the previous AGM to be eligible for elections or re-election.

If you are willing to stand, please let the committee know, ideally with a proposer and seconder. Historically, we're quite happy to wait until the AGM for this :D

On the subject of club publicity (since this came up at the AGM), I've just noticed that Tabletop Gaming have a listing for our club that is badly out of date (old address, no other contact details). Probably worth someone contacting them to update it.

https://www.tabletopgaming.co.uk/clubs/peterborough-wargames-club/

So does the page at Peterborough council, but at least this page has contact info.

And The Hobbit Hole in Chatters on their clubs listing.

Thanks Colin. Really appreciate these well written notes. Far more recorded here than I can remember.
Certainly good to see more photos being posted. I really appreciate the FB posts the painters have been doing also, across the periods and genres. Great inspiration and huge jealously.
Well done folks.
