Quote from: Rob Farley on July 13, 2021, 07:37:03 pmTable booking is a thing. That was the point of the changes to the club rules, and that's what we're doing in this thread.

My understanding is that's not the case. The committee have merely asked members to announce if they are attending. I presume that's for track and trace purposes. Right now if a lot of members turned up, we may have capacity issues. We may not but as this is the first meeting for 18 months my guess is its going to be busy.

Hence why I asked.

Table booking has never been specifically announced. I think it needs to be.

Rob is correct. Table booking is a thing. In fact even at SJA it was recommended as we had limited tables and needed to bring extra foldaway tables some times. Current regs merely change pre booking from recommended to required.
The assumption is if you say you are attending and playing a game then you are going to be using a table.
The committee will keep an eye on numbers booking in and will notify people if we are getting close to capacity.

Rob Farley

From the updated rules.

Quote3.6.2: You may not attend club meetings unless you have pre-booked by notifying the committee via email, forum or Facebook.

It doesn't specifically mention booking tables, but as Pippa said the assumption would be that if you pre-book and say you're intending to play a game, you'll probably need a table of some sort.
Current games (and armies) played: Rumbleslam, Street Fighter Miniatures, Saga, Marvel Crisis Protocol, Gaslands, Lion/Dragon Rampant, Frostgrave, Stargrave, Bolt Action & Operation Squad (Desert Rats, Communist Chinese, Russians, partisans, Americans, Finns, Italian Paras), Judge Dredd Miniatures, Mobile Frame Zero, Necromunda (Pit Slaves, Escher), Wings of War (WWI and WWII), Mordheim, Warpath

Hi Tony

That makes 4 for the 15mm Naps so that's awesome.

There's already a summary that Mike's been maintaining on the first post on the thread.

Is there a way to get it to show at the top? I always see threads newest first, and with multiple pages, takes a while to keep up, that is why I hadn't seen it!

Anyone for a game of Battletech?

This is the game with the hex grid and big robots we played once? I'll give you a game if you want.
