For those who don't know, Mike Hutchinson (of Gaslands and Billion Suns fame) has been contributing to a new periodical called Blaster. The second issue includes a complete new ruleset called Mystic Skies, which involves wizards zipping around on flying carpets, summoning minions and blasting each other.

Looks like fun. It uses Gaslands templates for movement and ranges and the combat system's nice and straightforward. Looks like it could be nice and chaotic.

All you need is a suitably mobile wizard (it doesn't have to be a flying carpet), a tower for your opponent to attack, and a selection of minions and monsters to summon.

Any interest?
