Is there anyone who didn't play the last round on Monday, who I can play against in the next few weeks?

Here is a draft of the scenario for the 11th December.

It's an attempt to simulate a Hot Trod, that is, a chase to escape with or retrieve stolen goods. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be happy to incorporate them.

Thanks,
Colin

Regarding Horses

I've given this some thought.

Some players have them, others don't and I don't think it's fair to ask people to buy a load of cavalry just to "keep up with the Joneses" (or the Dodds, Sinclairs, Fenwicks, etc Smiley ). One of the reasons the campaign started was because of the low-(ish) buy-in needed to take part and I don't want to create a "pay-to-win" situation.

So, in summary, we'll not be using cavalry for this campaign.

Sorry if this is a disappointment to some players.

Can we see the latest reputation as at December?

Colin

Hi,

Sorry for the late response, Carl. The current leader board is as follows:

1) Carl, The Armstrongs, 217
2) Grahame, The Law, 175
3) Pippa, The Grays, 171
4) Tom G, The Grahams, 170
5) Tom B, The Fenwicks, 148
6) Andy M, The Dodds, 119
7) Ash, The Burns, 114
Cool Reuben, The Turners, 102
9) Mike, The Sinclairs, 101
10) Chris, The Broken Men, 89

So it's a bit of a tussle in the middle of the table!

The next (and final) scenario is a rescue mission, in honour of the rescue of Kinmont Willie Armstrong from Carlisle Castle in (I think) 1596. It includes some experimental rules for sneaking past the sentries. A draft is as follows:

If a rescuing model is hidden or out of line-of-sight to a sentry, it may move at half SPD, to represent sneaking closer.

If a rescuer passes within MND inches of a captor, halt the model's move and make a MND vs. MND 'attack'. Consult the following chart

1 Rescuer is immediately spotted and identified as an enemy. Lose initiative.
2 Rescuer is 'held up' and may not act again this turn (even if the captors lose initiative).
3-4 Rescuer arouses suspicions. The captor model that triggered the 'attack' may make a free move towards the rescuer model.
5 Rescuer is not suspected but must halt all remaining actions this turn.
6 Rescuer is not suspected and may continue to act normally (e.g. if the 'attack' happened on the model's first action, it may carry out its second action as normal).

I'll happily amend (or drop altogether) this idea if anyone thinks its too risky.

See you all tonight.

Colin - can we have a final summary?

Seems a long time since the last game.

Thanks

These are the scores on the doors:

1) Carl, The Armstrongs, 265
2) Grahame, The Law, 251
3) Andy M, The Dodds, 238
4) Tom G, The Grahams, 212
5) Pippa, The Grays, 171
6) Tom B, The Fenwicks, 160
7) Ash, The Burns, 156
Cool Reuben, The Turners, 146
9) Mike, The Sinclairs, 118
10) Chris, The Broken Men, 90

The only outstanding game was for Pippa who, if I recall correctly, has decided to pass.

This means the Armstrongs have won the campaign and I'll be presenting Carl with the prize, the Collingwood family, on Monday.

Congratulations to Carl and many thanks to all who participated.

Regards,
Colin
